Summary: Two people with two dreams are drawn to the same diner when their pockets run dry and they need work. Their differences draw them together, but it seems everything is showing up to draw them apart. will they stay with the normal life of waiters, or will they emerge on top, strong and together?
Yunho picked the 'help wanted' sign up from the corner of the window it was standing up in. He read over the bold red words on last time before walking in the small western style diner. He had never gotten a job as a waiter before, so Yunho was almost positive he wasn't going to get the job, but he really needed the money.

"Excuse me?" he called out to a thick woman who had her back to him scrubbing the bar counter ruthlessly with a old looking rag.

She looked up at Yunho's scared face, one hand stuffing the rag into her apron pocket while the other scratched at her covered neck line. "Can I help you, boy?" She asked.

Yunho nodded and hesitantly handed her the wanted sign. "I'm here for the opening." He said.

"Oh," The woman laughed as she took the sign. "In that case, follow me, boy." She waved her hand for Yunho to follow as she started to go towards the back. Yunho followed hesitantly into the greasy-meat smelling kitchen. The woman walked him down a narrow back hallway to a small office. She threw the sign down on the cluttered desk and got a folder out of a drawer for Yunho.

"Fill it out." She ordered when Yunho gave her a confused look. He opened it to the first page and was shocked when he read 'employee information' at the top of the paper.

"Does this mean I get the job?" He asked.

She smiled and nodded. "The boss said give the job to the first young hard-working kid who walks in and asks for it."

Yunho nodded. He didn't really get it, but he was happy to get the job. "Thank you," He said as he sat down in the soft chair in front of the desk.

The woman handed him a pen and turned to leave. "Just come find me when you get those filled out and I'll tell you what you need to do."

Yunho couldn't help but grin as he wrote out his name on the paper.

It wasn't an hour later that Yunho was finished and went to find the woman like she had told him. She was poring coffee behind the bar for a customer when Yunho saw her.

"Excuse me," Yunho said as he came up behind her, "I'm done with the information sheets."

"So you are," She smiled as she took them from him. She opened the folder and skimmed through the words. "This is your fist job as a waiter?" She asked.

"Yes." Yunho nodded.

She read the rest of the first job without anymore questions. "So Jung Yunho," The woman said when she rolled the thin folder up and placed it in her apron pocket, "welcome to Hanjeongsik Diner." She smiled as she offered her hand. "My name is Hyunsoo, but call me Auntie Soo." Yunho gladly accepted the handshake.

But the warm moment was interrupted when the bell above the door signaled that some had come in. Hyunsoo smiled as a skinny boy entered the diner. The boy smiled at the woman, his face cute and childish, but when he saw Yunho his face turned icy. Hyunsoo didn't seem notice, or she didn't care, when she gestured him to come over to her.

"Jaejoong," She greeted warmly when the boy joined then behind the counter. "This is Yunho, he just took the open waiters job." Jaejoong nodded at Yunho but didn't smile.

"Yunho, this is Jaejoong. He is the senior waiter working nights. Your going to be working nights too, so you guys will become good friends." Yunho was not taken aback by the hours at all. He smiled at Jaejoong as warmly as he mouth would allow, hoping that the smaller boy would get that he wanted to be friends and smile back so Yunho could see his cold face turn cute again.

"I hope we do become good friends, Auntie Soo." Yunho said.

"That's wonderful." Hyunsoo smiled and cupped both boys shoulders. "Yunho, come back tomorrow at this time and Jaejoong will show you all the ropes of this place." She said before walking away.

Yunho didn't take his eyes from Jaejoong's face as the old woman left. Beautiful was one of the many flattering words that popped into Yunho's mind when he saw the other boy, and taking from the annoyance showing in his feminine sparkling eye's, Yunho's grin was not just inside of his head.

"I need to go get ready for work." Jaejoong said. Yunho stepped to the side to let the other pass, but a sudden remembrance cause his hand to reach out and take Jaejoong's wrist.

The raven haired man snapped his head up, his face shocked and scared. Yunho wondered for a second what could make his act like that, but let it go. "I just thought I should tell you that I'm gay." Yunho told him. "I don't want our friendship to be hampered by that."

Jaejoong jerked his wrist out of Yunho's hand. He looked up at the other, his eyes beyond angry. "We don't have a 'friendship'!" He hissed. Jaejoong pushed Yunho away as he walked by him.

Yunho shook his head as he walked out of the diner.

A/N: I really adore the story line of Yunjae in a cafe or whatever so I already love this fiction. And the title and Jaejoong's behavior will be explained in the next chapter, so don't worry so much about those.
I've never been in the back of a diner or worked in a diner, so all of that is just off the top of my head wild guesses. Fell free to correct me of I'm stupid.
Thank you for reading, and don't forget to leave comments ^0^.
