When Shige enters Tegoshi’s apartment carrying the ingredients for the dinner he’s going to teach his groupmate to cook tonight, he’s met with candlelight, soft music, and drawn curtains.
He nearly drops the groceries. “No,” he tells Tegoshi outright, refusing to get seduced.
“Shige,” Tegoshi chirps, laughing, “my date won’t be here for another hour.”
“Oh.” Shige remembers to breathe. “Then… we better start cooking.”
A moment.
Where Shige notices that Tegoshi is already dressed for his date, looking expectant.
Shige gets it. Sighs.
“I better start cooking,” he amends.
Sometimes he thinks becoming Tegoshi’s new favorite cook was stupid.
