I love brainteasers (and math is always a brainteaser for me)
So, this guy falls in love with a girl whose father owns an orchard. He asks the father for his daughter's hand in marriage and the father replies. "Sure, you can have her hand in marriage, but first you have to do this one small task for me.
Go into the orchard and bring back enough apples so that you can give me half of the apples, plus one half of an apple, then give my wife half of what you have left, plus half an apple, and then my daughter half of the apples you have left, plus half an apple, and only keep one apple for yourself. Don't cut ANY of the apples. How many apples do you need to bring back?"
