I feel like a friggin' moron
Okay, so I've been hearing about wordpress and by extension, comicpress. The founder of wordpress was interviewed on Gavin Newsome's show and the Sequlab podcast mentioned Comicpress a few times. So I check it out and look into using it for my web site. I follow the five minute easy installation and I'm getting lost almost at step one. The talk of PHP and SQLs just hit me and I scratch my head wondering what the hell they're talking about.
A friend at work took a list and offered to help, and it looks like my hostway account isn't set up to allow wordpress to work. He even made a very kind offer to make it simple on me, but there's a part of me that sincerely wants to learn this shit. However there's a nother part of me that fears that it's just beyond my capacity to understand. That last part is likely to lose though.
So I'm leaning towards trying to do this myself, with help if need be, but mostly myself. I 've been inclined for a while to change web hosters. I've been where I'm at mostly due to inertia. I can find cheaper plans out there, and ones that will allow me to use wordpress.
