New themes for the first half of May!
Hello again! May is upon us, and I'm back with a new batch of themes to start the new month!
The results of the poll were pretty overwhelming in favor of the twice-monthly theme posts, and that sounds like a good idea to me, so I'm going to give that a try this month. I also like the idea about themes suggested by members of this community, so I'm going to make a mod post about that in the next week or so. I've been a little preoccupied lately, so I haven't given it as much thought as I should, but I will.
Thanks to everyone who came back to JDRABBLERS in April and wrote and/or read all the fresh new fics posted here! ^_^
For the next two weeks, let's see if any of these ideas strike you:
• Golden Week -- It's almost over now, but Japan celebrates Golden Week during the first week of May. It begins on April 29th and includes four national holidays: Showa Day (April 29th, to commemorate the Emperor Showa's birthday), Constitution Day (May 3rd, to commemorate the adoption of the post-war constitution), Greenery Day (May 4th, sort of like Earth Day), and Children's Day/Boys' Festival (May 5th, families pray for the health and success of their sons). It is a very popular time to take a long holiday from work, travel, vacation, and generally take some time to relax. So, what do Jrockers do during Golden Week?
• influence -- musical influences, under the influence, the power of persuasion, bad influence, a convincing argument, astrological influences
• forget -- never forget, forgetful, forget-me-not, souvenirs and mementos, forget the words, forget a birthday or anniversary, memorials, lest we forget, absent-minded, disorganized
• silk -- a silky voice, silk sheets, luxurious clothes, a silken touch, the embroidered silk of a traditional kimono, silk stockings, spider silk, silk flowers, delicate, precious
• gothic -- Gothic-Lolita, elegant, vampiric, aristocratic, individualistic, macabre, desolate, dark, romantic, grotesque, angsty, pretentious, stereotyped, misunderstood
• infamous -- scandalous, rock star behavior, gossip, tabloid stories, busted, famous for the wrong reasons, an embarrassing scene
• secrets -- I have a secret, sworn to secrecy, tell me your secret, share a secret, keep a secret, hidden truth, deception, protected from a secret, dangerous secrets, burdened by a secret
