We're back!! Themes for April, 2008!
Hello again! I couldn't wait for another minute, so instead of relaunching on 2008/04/01, we're going to get a couple of days' head start on the month of April! Besides, I was afraid that everyone might think I was just kidding about the relaunch if I really posted on April Fools' Day, and I didn't want any doubt or confusion -- I'm too excited about this relaunch for anyone to think that it's nothing but a joke...
Thanks again to everyone who kindly replied and expressed an interest in getting this community going again! I really appreciate the continued interest and support, and I'm very grateful for the second chance! ^_^
Without further ado, let's get to the new themes, shall we? The biggest change in Jdrabblers Version 2.0 is that theme posts will now be monthly instead of weekly. Not only is that better for my schedule, but that means more themes and more time for everyone to write, and I hope that can inspire even more creativity in the long run. In the old weekly format, there were only four or five themes per month, and sometimes, the themes were not always inspiring to the whole community. In the new monthly format, I'm posting thirteen themes (because 13 is my lucky number), and I hope that a wider range of ideas should go a long way toward giving everyone something to think about! ^_^
Each theme is in bold, and I did a little brainstorming to offer a few prompts on each theme to get you started... Pick a theme or two, combine a few themes, or try your hand at all of them!
• reincarnation -- rebirth -- rising from the ashes -- re-imagining an old idea -- starting over -- trying again -- getting a second chance -- giving someone else a second chance -- karma
• paranoia -- the feeling that something is out to get you -- conspiracies -- irrational fears -- a sense of persecution -- insecurities -- the fear that someone is always watching you -- stalkers
• 10 seconds, 10 days, 10 years -- an event or situation viewed from a very short time frame (10 seconds), a reasonable and intermediate time frame (10 days), or over the long period of a whole decade (10 years)
• spring cleaning -- out with the old and in with the new -- refreshed -- invigorated -- making a fresh start -- packing up old memories to make room for new ones -- transitions -- moving on
• walking in the rain -- a romantic stroll -- a chance encounter -- a desperate escape -- a forlorn walk -- a mourning journey -- a lonely wander
• cats and dogs -- JRockers love their pets! -- raining like cats & dogs -- fighting like cats & dogs -- catty behavior -- lazy dog -- curiosity killed the cat -- working like a dog
• cosplay -- how does it feel when fans cosplay as you? -- cosplaying as your idol -- anime cosplay (because all JRockers seem to want to be Saiyans... XD) -- does drag count as cosplay? -- have you seen Asagi's maid costume?
