it's still snowing..
I'm really hoping this isn't going to be a pattern.. When I got up this AM the weathermen said 2'"-4". By noon it was 4"-6". By 6pm it was 6"-8". The 10pm news said 8"-10". We're getting a bunch. I'ts GREAT packing snow, however. I see some snowmen in our future. And, 'someone' (who just moved here from MN) wanted snow! Well, she dragged it down with her! :)
Hopefully, It'll stop tomorrow, as we need to get out tree. We usually go to the Oak Park YMCA -they're usually a bit more expensive, but the $$ goes to some youth programs that don't get fully funded otherwise. We've bought some really nice trees from them the last couple of years. (Frazier Firs). They're very fresh,usually. I've got a stand that is very nice, once the tree is up and secure. We've never had a tipover problem, and it holds lots of H2O.
And, of course, I'm on call. So, I was out all day in this slop. The interstates and main roads were OK. The Oak Park side streets are not.
I'm not going out unless I gotta.
I'm going to grab some homemade cookies and some tea, and relax. Then, off to beddie bye.
