So, since factory resetting my laptop, I've been slowly getting it back to how it was. One thing I can't seem to get working right, is Firefox. Before the reset, I was declining the latest Firefox update. Now, when I re-installed it, I really didn't have a choice. It won't keep track of my settings (such as homepage and bookmark folders). Every time I start it, even if I set it to "load blank page" it still goes to the stupid Mozilla welcome page, with a second tab that's Firefox Google (to put it simply). I've also found it not to run nearly as fast as it did before, while on occasion it decides to freeze up while I'm checking out regular webpages that I'm fond of (like this one).
Now, since everyone will concur that Explorer doesn't even deserve a breath in this discussion, I'm debating on whether to turn towards Opera (which I used about 8 years ago) or Chrome. Eight months later, I can't help but think Google would have a fair number of bugs worked out by now, and I've heard nothing but great things about its speed. At the same time, Opera's been the under the radar top browser for nearly a decade.
Thoughts?
