Frankly, all the things that Dale had insisted they do between weddings were a little inappropriate, even for a married couple and Joe was still blushing every single time he thought about it. However, they were officially married now and he knew that meant sometimes he had to do things that Dale liked just because Dale liked them. That was what ( Read more... )

Joe felt truly blessed. That was the only word for his life on the island and he had decided to show his appreciation to all his guests by stringing together flowers to make flower chains for them. If they wanted a crown, he would make them a crown and if they wanted a necklace, he could do that, too.

As he strung several wild flowers together, he smiled brightly at a familiar face. "Hi! I'm so glad you could make it. Dale and I are so happy you could be here to celebrate this special day with us."

"Oh Joe, it's perfectly lovely that you've finally decided to get married," said Anne. "I'd begun to believe that I would never see the day."

"I just had to find the right man," Joe said with a bright grin, then poked Anne's nose playfully before he dropped the flower chain over her head. "Don't you look pretty with that necklace? It suits you perfectly."

"You know perfectly well you had the right man all along," said Anne, fingering the chain of flowers he'd just gifted her with. "Why, I never realised you were so crafty, Joe!"

The second wedding was a little bit excessive, since the first quickie had been more than enough to get Joe back into bed with him, but it made Joe happy so Dale just went with it. All he had to do was put a suit on and show up, and it was hard to refuse Joe something as simple as that.

Of course, now he had to make nice with all the guests before he could drag Joe back home again.

Dean wandered up to Dale, trying to rid his face of it's semi-permanent astounded expression and only half succeeding.

"So," he said, feeling underdressed, but he hadn't had time to dress up when he heard what was going down in the Hamlet. "Congratulations."

"Lemme be honest with you, Dean," said Dale, slinging his arm around Dean's shoulders and leaning in, confidentially. "Marrying him was the only way I was ever going to get laid again."

Dean groaned, though he'd known it'd been too much to hope that Dale had gotten married just because he wanted to, and not because he was out of his mind like the rest of the island. "Well," he said slowly, "I guess there are worse things than making an honest man of him?"
