Starting season two (years late and cubits short...)

Ronald D. Moore cannot give a coherent, relevant episode commentary to save his immortal soul. Episode commentaries can be the best part of a DVD collection, but this man's rambling on and on about *his* creative process, *his* vision (like he's the only one working on the series), and *his* credentials is boring me to death.

I get he did the podcast before the DVD was put together--but editing is really your friend, Mr. Moore. Was it really necessary to keep nearly ten minutes talking about a deleted scene that's *on* the DVD? And then spend another five minutes pointing out what's quite evident from the show--after spending half of the first season talking about how the audience is smarter than the networks think they are, and that they will invest the time to figure out what's happening and *don't* need everything spoon-fed to them?

I like the (few) commentaries where there are other people involved--they keep things focused. They bring in different viewpoints. Moore seems to have as big an ego as the other Moore.

(Yes, it's petty. I'm grumpy and missing my mom. And frankly, if I wanted to hear sci-fi TV writers/producers/creators talk about themselves, I can get all I can stomach listening to JMS pat himself on the back in B5 commentaries.)
