(no subject)
I need to do this now before I put it off more!!
So on Friday I called into work (and felt REALLY bad about it.. seeing as it was a catalyst to Andrea quitting her job...)and I took off with Kitzya and her fam to Laughlin. They were going to visit her sister's friend Linda and her kids while Kitzya's mom and dad were gonna stay at a hotel on the "strip" thingy. We got there around 4 and after eating dinner at Linda's Kitzya and I took off to see what Laughlin had to offer....*cricket* yeah, a bunch of nothing! I really wanted to go to the river but the entrance we went to was closed so we just decided to go down and check out the hotels.
First of all, let me say, that the "strip" was so much lamer than I expected. Like, you could tell the whole thing was built in the 60's and they just had this old shitty-ness look to it (not to mention, 90% of the people that were there were elderly). Anyway, we parked at the end of the strip at the Riverside hotel and went thru there while Kitzya gambled for the very first time. We went upstairs and looked out the window at the river then decided to go take a boat ride along the river. So we went out and got in one of those water taxi things and went to this other hotel that looked like a huge ass boat and looked around in there before going thru the rest of the hotels, making our way back to the one we started at.
So when we got back to the Riverside, we decided to go back upstairs to look at this car museum thingy that we were gonna look at earlier. Anyway, we went thru it and ended up in the gift shop at the end of the museum and we turned around the corner and heard "Kit-Kat?? Melody??" and we were both like "WTF who knows us by those names??" haha and it ended up being a counselor from Maripai, Spike!! How fucking weird/random was that?? Haha So we caught up with her for a little bit then we let her get back to whatever she was doing (she lives in Bullhead City which is on the other side of the river so I guess it wasn't THAT much of a coincidence haha).
So after that we were still bored so we decided to go and check out the Harrah's that was on the verrrrrrrrry end of the other side of the strip. Oh, what a relief that place was!! It was clearly built in this century and had a lot more interesting things about it...like a fucking BEACH! Yeah, a real life beach! hahah We followed the signs and found it, and since there was no one guarding it and checking for room keys we just made our selves all comfy and chilled out on those thingys you lay on and watched the ducks haha

The next day we got up at about 8 and took off at 8:30 to Vegas! Woot! The first place I stopped at HAD to be the fucking Palms. I wasn't gonna leave Vegas until I finally fucking went to that hotel. So after getting semi-lost trying to find it, we finally got there and I went to find Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. And when I saw it right in front of me I freaked the fuck out lmao I went inside and looked thru their books and when I looked up, I saw Joey who was always featured on the show and I kinda freaked out in my own mind. I think he noticed too because he kinda just stared at me while I looked at him like a retard in awe lmfao
So anyway, so this doesn't end up being a novel I'll just sum up the rest of the trip and maybe some interesting parts... After the Palms we went to Paris then the one next to Paris. After that we went to the Venitian to see the river and the gondolla ride thingy and when we were done, Kitzya was getting cranky bc she was hungry so we set off in search of a place to eat and ended up eating at this shady Jack In the Box at the north end of the strip ahaha.
After we were done there, we map quested directions on my Sidekick to get to the Zia they recently opened up there and luckily it wasn't very far. It was like, the hugest Zia of them all, I think... haha and it was so weird because everything in there was all the EXACT stuff that's in the Zias here and get this, even the fucking LOCAL BAND SECTION had bands from Phoenix in there!! WTF?? hahaha I asked the guy why they had Phoenix bands and he was like "Uhh... I dunno" haha idiot. Anyway, I bought a used copy of Fast Future Generations (I haven't been able to find it at any of the Zias here.. and shut up, I'm cheap alright??) and then we took off to go to the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign thingy so we could take pictures in front of it.
On the way there we got sidetracked and stopped at the Hardrock. I mostly wanted to stop there to see this Bam Margera display thing they had set up that I saw on his Unholy Union show but they fucking took it down because it "caused too many problems" whatever the fuck that means haha So then we looked around and saw all these different displays and there were signed guitars on the wall of famous people.. oh! they even had outfits from famous musicians, like they had THE outfit Britney wore in her Baby One More Time video and THE fucking oufit Christina wore for her Dirrty video! ack! hahaha and they had this awesome All-American Rejects display with all this shit from the last video they made for It Ends Tonight.. Then we fucking went around the fucking ENTIRE thing until we found something of Green Day so Kitzya would stop crying about it lmao And just as we were about to give up, I saw one of their gold records on the wall for Dookie. Kitzya flipped out of course and took a zillion pics of it.. oye..
After that we finally got to the LV sign. We parked in this parking lot and ran across the street and helped this bride and groom take pictures haha and they helped us take pics too and it was awesome! I can't believe how fucking small that sign is too. Like, I always thought it was as tall and wide as a billboard and when I saw it last time I went I had to take a double take bc I didn't think that was it lol
So after that, I wanted to check out the Wynn to see what the big deal was about that place and meh.. it was pretty lame. The only cool thing about it was there was this really pretty watterfall thingy outside that had all these pretty colors and there was a pool of water in front of it with these naked statues going under water haha
Anyway, when we were done there we decided to get things wrapped up because we were tired and it was starting to get late so our last stops were that World's Biggest Giftshop place...pfft.. what a lie that was... and then our last stop was New York New York. We looked around in there (I fucking love that place btw) and we ate dinner... Kitzya had pizza while I had mexican food then we gambled for the last time before we took off back to Laughlin.

Meh, I'm not even gonna write about Sunday bc there was nothing interesting about it... we drove home and dats it!
