Didn't sleep well. Long day of work. Dinner with akiva at hanamichi.

K was going to do a thing for her dad's birthday, but scheduling kept slipping and slipping so I guess we're going to try doing it tomorrow instead.

Had a pleasant lunch with paul and gabe back from working-at-facebook times. Discussed the important issues of the day, by which I mean video games and novels.

One of K's very old friends (from, like, middle school, I think?) is leaving new york for the midwest, so we went to a little good-bye dinner for her out in Flushing at a chinese place "Joe's Shanghai". Great pork dumplings, didn't care for the sesame chicken.

Went to a nice little evening gathering at brooklyn bridge park organized by akiva. Met some of his coworkers and friends, present and past. Nice folks, ate some cookies, watched a sunset, talked about things.

Had dinner with Akiva at Veselka, talked about all the things. Had some cheesecake at Veniero's that I hadn't had in a long time, and was really tasty. Took a nice bit of a walk southward as far as the N/Q coincided with his walk home.

K's parents came over in the evening. Did indeed make a second run of tiny fruit tarts which turned out fine, but everyone seemed perfectly satisfied with the larger pie dessertwise. K made some tasty burritos for predessertdinner.

Very solid productive day at work. Keep coincidentally running into more people that live in Astoria.

Had a lunch chat with Clément Hongler, a Columbia friend of Gustavo's who I'd bumped into sporadically in the past. Pre-dinner chat with Sean and Carsten Varming whom I hadn't seen in forever. Dinner with K at Papa Kebab. Long train journey home due to N/Q fuckage around 59th. Circumvented it via the E to Queens Plaza, walked to the cunningly distinct Queensboro Plaza, took N home.
