Apparently my coworker Kelly is spreading a rumor around the office that I have a lightning bolt tattooed on my penis. If that were not enough, whenever she see a book or a movie with a storm scene on the cover she shows it to me and giggles like a schoolgirl. At work on Thursday a patron came up to me and said "I lost my Library card, can I check out with my drivers license?" I said yes, and she handed me her whole wallet. I was looking at her information when I noticed a card falling out of of of the sections. I pulled it out, looked at it, and asked her "Um, isn't this your Library card?" (it was). ( Read more... )

We have a new policy at my Library. If you wantt o check out a book, you have to have your library card or a picture ID. Before we were letting people check out if they gave their names and birthday. So I got back from orentation day at UIC, and I'm drained. No so much physically, but mentally. The event started at 8am, so that meant that I had to get up around 6 to have enought time to do everything. I usually get up at 7:30, so a hour and a half less was not so bad.
