Started out a typical Saturday...clear, not so hot (for once), traffic not so bad...as we headed into town for the weekend's shopping trip. Didn't plan on buying much: maybe a game, perhaps a manga/novel I was looking for - you know, typical stuff.
So, after a trip across town with a few stops thrown in, we ended up at the local Border's. Where I didn't find any of the books I was looking for...but I did see a copy of the Bleach movie for $19. Not quite believing what I saw, we both decided to head over to Best Buy (where we usually buy such things) to make sure that was a good price.
Well, we found the Bleach movie at Best Buy - but it was much more expensive. Did find a few other things, though...
One Wacom tablet, lunch, and a Photoshop Elements 4 book later (I'm soooo bad), we were back at Border's to pick up the Bleach movie and to do a bit more browsing. While he went to look at more computer books, I thought I'd give the manga section another go-through.
Still couldn't find what I was looking for. *sigh*
At this point, I decided they must actually be holding the book to its' actual release date (for once). So I started heading towards the computer section by taking the long route that goes by the coffee bar...
...and halfway there spy a table with a manga display on it. And sitting oh-so-casually in the middle of the Naruto/Death Note/Loveless display are about EIGHT copies of the manga I was looking for...
Fullmetal Alchemist 17.
(Oh, has it been a long wait. A really, really long wait. And I'm not even going to think about the wait until the next volume comes out. 'cause I finally (finally!) have Vol 17. *goes back to happy dancing* Can you tell I've been waiting for this for a while?)
I may have squeaked a bit. I don't think anyone was nearby.
Anyways, I grabbed my copy, grabbed a copy of the Bleach movie, found him, and decided to get to the check out while my luck was still holding out.
Haven't quite scored the trifecta yet for the weekend...but I have one more book store to check - and they are usually really good about carrying new Trinity Blood novels... *crosses fingers*
anime,
manga,
happy shopping
