I love the pantry, too. It is very convenient to have the space for the extra fridge and freezer so close to the kitchen.
The basement is great. It's unfinished, but there is an industrial steel sink down there. I had great plans when we lived here before of raising a garden and canning down there! ;) Anyway, it's unfinished and is just really good for storage. We don't count it as living space b/c it will never be finished - we have a sump pump, but if it ever failed there is the possibility it could flood a little and that would ruin a finished space. It has flooded a few inches one time (while it was under construction).
