scottish binge

I know that in faire my character is French. Even with a name change, Charels Dufrey can't be anything BUT french. sure, I can be a Scottish wood worker just as well as I can be a French one, but how would a Scotsman explain himself building a permanent structure in France? it just doesn't work. not to mention, the issue of a kilt as I'm working on the rafters of the building. moving on, moving on. But I do love the Scottish brogue adn th outfits., the charicterization, ect, ect.
I'm looking forward to Tartan Days this year. My 1st year, I really had no idea what I was doing, last year, I hadn't planed on being there and was only there for part of the time, ( I had just gotten home from England, 6-7 hour jet lag and all that)
But this year, I'm finally making myself a kilt, I'm looking into how to make a sporran, and if I have time, I'll even take a look at making, (or modifing) a pair of hide boots that would have been worn by the earlier scottish. it's just one of those things, I'll be fine one moment, and the next, I'm in a buzz of activity researching and making stuff.
