I think there are a few qualities I'm starting to realize that some of my friends lack. Self sacrifice, for one. The idea of doing something simple for someone else seems to be really foreign to a lot of people. It's a little disappointing. Few people take the initiative to be that way. Also, no one seems to be willing to stick up for someone who's being picked on. I just disappointed sometimes. I mean, we all go through times when we get a good ribbing from our friends, but is it so hard for someone to pipe up for someone getting it? I don't think so. I also wish that sometimes, people would decide not to argue things so much. I personally have been letting a lot more slide without harassment, but it's difficult to keep that perspective when certain people don't let things I do slide. Perhaps all I need is some personal reflection on the subject.
