So Junior Year has started, and I've returned to the campus of Rowan University. I've been pretty busy so far this year. Right now, I'm carrying 5 classes(sound communication, introduction to advertising, creative writing, TV history and appreciation, and the movie industry), a job at the Radio/TV/Film Equipment room, and a of couple clubs/organizations. I joined Cinema Workshop this semester, and I'm currently working on a silent one minute black and white film, which is about to go into post production. I'm also still in the Colleges Against Cancer organization at school, and this year I'm the treasurer, so I'm excited for all of that stuff to get underway. I'm also Co-producing and directing a zombie b-movie with my friend Chris that I wrote. We just got the majority of our preproduction work completed, so I think our first shooting day will be this Saturday, which I'm really excited about! Even though this is just a side project for us, we're really trying to make it the best it possibly can, so it looks good once we've completed it.
This year I'm living in Edgewood, which is okay. Well, to be honest, I hate the apartment this year. Not the people in the apartment, just the apartment itself. Last year, even though the apartment was a smidge on the skeevy side, there were just good vibes about the apartment. I think it was just set up better, and we brought a lot of good stuff to the apartment, so we had some really fugly/awesome 70's vibes going there. Now, all we have is college furniture. Not to mention that its too much furniture. Also, one of my roommmates set it up in the beginning of the year in a horrible configuration, to where u have to like shimmy in between and wall and a couch in order to get into the living room area. I just find that ridiculous. So, I went home this weekend and brought back a lamp, a table and a couple of extra things to try to make the apartment feel more like a home, rather than an atomic bomb bunker, which by the way, would not protect us at all. So, hopefully that will all help out.
So, that's about it for now. If I'm not interning this summer, I would like to know if anyone would be interested possibly helping me film some stuff this summer. I want to try to put together some sort of a demo reel, and the more stuff I can produce and film, the better.
