Summer '07
So this summer is coming to a close for me now, and I can honestly say, good riddance.
This summer was ok eventwise. I got to go see some of my rowan friends a couple times this summer which was really nice compared to the one time last summer, but as for seeing Rahway people, I really didn't see as many as I would have liked to. I blame it just on being very busy this summer with working full time, and vacation/trips, and the wedding. It really sucks that I missed out on seeing a lot of people, but I guess thats what happens sometimes...
Working this summer was kind of a bitch. I worked again at HD as a cashier. Hopefully, it will be my last summer there. As much as I say I hated it or something, I can't really say it was SUCH a horrible job. I mean hey, its a job in retail. You're going to have some asshole customers who are going to try to cheat you every five minutes, but whatever, its over.
Wildwood was really great this summer. We really had perfect weather, which basically allowed me to do everything I had wanted. Jessi got to come down for a night which was really awesome. We hung out on the beach, walked the board walk, went to a water park, rode on some rides, and just had a really fun time. I also got to go jetskiing for the first time. That shit was amazing, but of course, with me and my nerves, I was reaaaaally slow at first because I wasn't sure if I was allowed to floor it or what. Is there a certain speed I'm supposed to not go above? what?. Other than that though, Wildwood was really great.
Also, my cousin Melissa and her fiance Richard had gotten married this summer, and I was a groomsman in the ceremony. The wedding was really nice. They had done both like normal christian customs along with some that are more filipino in nature. BTW, the reception was OUT OF CONTROL! Jackie went as my date, and we were basically bustin moves and dancing all night. The dessert hour was amazing. You would not believe the food they had there. They had cake, ice cream, a chocolate fountain, chocolate-covered strawberries and bananas, fruit sushi, popcorn, cotton candy, cookies, ben and jerry's ice cream bars, milkshakes, mousse and other chocolatey goodness shaped into american fastfood, like hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken nuggets.
Yea, so that was my summer in a nutshell.
I go back to school on sunday, and I can't believe I'm already halfway through college now. It's frightening, but not really. Or is it? But, yea, I'm totally ready to head back to glassboro. I have the majority of stuff packed already, so now I'm just really bored. I'm like dawdling my thumbs looking for something to do, and it sucks because it's like the first time really all summer where I'm reallllly free to hang out and stuff, but now everyone is gone, and those that are still here I really don't get to talk to or anything. So, yea. Hopefully, I'll make it through a week of boredom without shooting myself in the foot. At least that'd be eventful.
