Finding the beauty...

A part of me I might delve deeper into in another post always feels that I was born in the wrong country.
I'd say one of the biggest points for the husband and I deciding to relocate overseas is that Australia really holds no interest to us.
It can be a beautiful country, I won't deny it, however for us it's just not the beauty we long to see.
We want to take the kids to the UK, or now Ireland - heck we've even thought about Germany and Hungary, because of the history. Every new drive you take takes you to a world where so much has happened before our grandparents were even born.
We want to explore woods and castles.
However we know that once we go we won't be coming back so we are trying to get the kids out and enjoying Australia as much as we can. Though given that we live on the coast in Perth it's basically just beach that we're exploring.

Today we went to Point Perron. A Rocky point not far from home with a little cave, great views, fear inducing trail walks - if you're my five year old daughter, and plenty of shells to collect.

The kids had a great time, to quote Miss A it was the "best day ever". Though we've had quite a few of them since she first saw Tangled a year ago.

And as much as the husband and I enjoyed it - I think my favourite part was the stop for ice cream at Baskin Robins - we can't wait till its castles giving us the "best day ever".
