Hmmm..been awhile since I've had a night to myself without having to wake up early the next morning or finish up a raid in wow or what have you...not entirely sure what to do with myself xD. Nicki's over at Shannon's watching movies and having a good time for which I am glad! I wouldn't say I'm bored, more like theres so much I could do I don't know where to start.
I think I should start by continuing on quest to report the details of Maryland.
I left off on Thursday. I'll copy paste what I had then continue:
So Thursday, Nicki had to work most of the day if I remember right, so then when she got home, we watched a little bit of Higurashi, and then went over to her Aunt's to pick up something. After that we went out to Mt. Airy to pick up Crittle cuz we were all gunna hang out that night. At Crittle's, Nicki got asked the best question ever. "Why are you called Nicki?". Kids say the darndest things!
So we abducted Crittle and tried very hard not to run over Cody, since he was set on going with her.
After that we drove to Josh's and hooked up with everyone. We went to the grocery store to grab supplies for the night, specifically, for making fondue. The store was fun, we walked all around it a few times and found everything we needed. Then we headed back to Josh's. Shannon made up the fondues; first was the main course, garlic bread in a tomato-wine sauce. It was pretty good, although you could definately taste the wine which made it a little too...sophisticated (?)...for my tastes. Poor Nicki doesn't like the taste of wine at all and it made it hard for her to enjoy. The second fondue was all around win though, chocolate for fruits and such! Wooo!
We all played a round of Buzz, a trivia game for the PS2/3, sadly, I forget who won this time, I know I was the first one out cuz Nicki was mean and pie'd me! After that there was a lot of Sing Star which is always enjoyable to watch. I wish I knew more of the songs a little better, I always feel a bit awkward playing it when I don't know 90% of the songs (sure its fun to not know one or two but yea..the whole playlist is at times a mystery to me). After that we hooked up the wii and played Boom Blox and a little bit of Mario Kart. By then it was time to get home, it was extremely late and fortunately for Nicki and I, Ash and Jay offered to take Crittle home - I say fortunately because Nicki was exhausted from the long week we'd been having and was starting to really fall asleep on the way home. We got home and went right to bed.
Friday~ if I remember right, Nicki surprised the heck out of me by actually having friday OFF which was just awesome. Our first stop on the agenda was to go see Get Smart (opening day). Nicki and I were both huge fans of the show, so we just had to see the movie. We both agreed it was pretty good and made alot of good references to the show. Nicki was pretty dissapointed that the Claw (the Craw?) was not in it, as was I. Aside from that it was very enjoyable, I had a great time going to the movies with her. After that we walked around FYE a bit and looked at random anime and looked around for the Get Smart TV series but found out it wasn't available to be released on DVD just yet. After that we headed home for more Higurashi/IWBTG, etc.
Friday night we went over to Ash and Jay's for dinner and games. Before that, we stopped at CVS to grab drinks - Nicki has gotten me into Diet Cherry Pepsi, its actually a really decent diet soda; that and sprite zero. Shannon, Ash, and Jay made whole grain spaghetti, diced veggies, and garlic bread for dinner. During the course of the meal, I bit into the garlic bread thinking it was bread and instead got an entire mouthful of pure butter. Not wanting to be rude I suffered through it and tried to eat other things along with it. Woo, cholesterol intake for the year! Aside from that small mishap, dinner was great. Jay brewed some home-made strawberry infused alcohol for Shannon, it was really delicious but it was also pretty strong. After dinner we hooked up the Wii and played a bit of Wario Warez - everyone was quite amused by the crazy antics in that game. When we tired of that, we played a lot more Boom Blox, this time getting everyone involved. After many rounds of that, we decided to switch to Singstar which lasted pretty much the rest of the night - it's really enjoyable even just watching. Alot of fun was had and once again we stayed out far too late; when we got home we went right to bed.
Next update: The weekend...and more~!? As for me, I think I'm going to go watch some TV (wtf TV?) and play my DS a bit!
