Hadn't seen my friend in almost 2 weeks. Her job downtown has been keeping her real busy but she gave me a buzz late last night that she had the night off and to come hang out after the Bones finale. Lol, she knows me so well. Bones finale was good by the way. Won't say great, cause it ended on a cliffhanger. A sweet cliffhanger, but a cliffhanger none the less. And now the long wait begins until season 6.
So, hung out at her boyfriend's place in Midtown where we watched the Waterboy, ripped on Memphis a little (cause its a past time. Memphians like to bitch about Memphis like most people talk about the weather. Its the local small talk), did the usual philosophizing about life, work, future prospects, and played Nascar on XBox. Yes people, Nascar has a video game. Also ordered a gourmet pizza from this AMAZING place in midtown. Home made hand tossed pesto grilled chicken pizza with sun dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
Waiting for the pizza while we're chatting away about life, politics, current events, work (or lack there of), school, unrealistic expectations from our parents, yada yada, I jokingly threw my hands up in an exaggerated display of frustration and declared 'well, California's voting in November to legalize pot. If it passes I say fuck it and let's all move to California and become pot farmers'. It was a joke, however they both thought it was a FANTASTIC idea. Lol. So I'm now dubbing this fall back option 'plan P'.
I really needed some laughs. Feeling a little better now after a very exasperating week. Had several melt downs last weekend including a very embarrassing moment where I started crying in Borders. Felt like I was holding myself together by a thread all week.
