As much I like Robert Downy Jr, I'm about burn out on his movies for the moment. Saw Iron Man 2 over the weekend and saw it again today to kill time while Appa was getting some swanky new treds. All the other movies out right now were so bad looking that Iron Man was the only one I was even willing to consider paying 7.50 for. Seeing a movie twice in one week is bad enough but I also rented Iron Man 1 sunday and have watched it twice this week as well.

But, on the flip side I bit the bullet and got Appa 4 sparkly new tires, got the alignment fixed, and since I was already spending 650+ today, popped for the extra 40 dollars to get a nitrogen fill. Helps my gas milage cause it keeps the tires at perfect pressure. Its pretty nifty. Basically, pure nitrogen is what you put in airplane tires. Appa is long over due for something nice after so much abuse the last year. Still having sticker shock though. But it was either that or have my unnervingly dry rotted tires blow out on me next time I get on the highway. Going 48,200 miles one the same tires is pretty good I think. Some people don't believe me when I say they were the original tires that came with the car from the factory.

Job hunting is relatively fruitless right now. No surprise there. Feel like my dad expects miracles and no one can give me a straight answer on what they think I'm doing wrong or should be doing. I love constructive criticism and welcome, nay desperately seek any advice those of more age and hopefully wisdom might have but the pessimism and mean spirited snark is not productive and getting on my nerves. I beat myself up enough all by myself thank you.

So far what I've accomplished in the last week was register for the Foreign Service Officer's exam and fill out a volunteer application with the Aududon Society to help with the oil spill. Figured I have experience with marine estuary ecology and working with environmental organizations. Would give me something to do this summer. Quickly running out of my 'to do's' and its only been one week.
