Pics of big pricks!
Continuing my habit of writing about things that happened anywhere from two days to two weeks ago... On Sunday, September 14, Jeff wanted to get out of town and take a short road trip to see something new. So we drove about 40 miles east of town on US 60 to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. I had been there once before about ten years ago when my parents came out to visit. It's a beautiful oasis in the desert where all kinds of trees, plants, and cactus are on display, and butterflies and hummingbirds abound.
It took me until yesterday to get the photos uploaded - that's my excuse.

They have a shop where they sell potted plants, and we came home with three Texas Prickly Pair cactus plants, which are now planted in our front yard.
