Prezzies

Yesterday was a lot of fun.

I got money from my family. Meghan bought me A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray and Wicked Lovely by Melissa Mar, books I have been eyeing forever in the Young Adult section. Erica bought me (by proxy) Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer and the second book in The Lords of Avalon romance series. It was horrible becuase the bought it while I was there and I told them not to. It really was enough to just hang out and have fun for they day, but they insisted. That was too much money to spend on someone's birthday presents. Seriously, I was waving the idea away  and blushing but they wouldn't be discouraged...

Erica had to leave early and I was still trying to convince Meghan not to buy anything, that I would came back later with my own money. Meghan waves Erica's birthday money in my face and asks "And what are you going to do with this?" I answered, with what I sure was a horrified look on my face, "Give it back." It probably sounded more like a question. Meghan just looks at me, looks away, points, and says, "Look. Eclipse is 30% off." She picks it up and continues, with me following, being panicky, trying and failing to get her to stop. I tried to get Erica's birthday money, ut she figured out that I wasn't going to use it if I got it back, so she kept it...I could have ripped my hair out. Not that I am  not grateful, I love my gifts. I just really didn't like the purchase happening right in front of me and watching this money being spent on me.

Also my mom made Stuffed Grape Leaf. I didn't help fill and roll them, so I feel bad. It's not hard, just a bit time consuming and repeatitive. She said it was ok because it was my birthday and my brother helped her, but still, I don't like not helping.
