alrighty now. i don't usually do these types of things but because alex was one of my strongest influences in joining livejournal and because she tagged me (whore) I shall write "10 things that give me a moment of joy." however i must tweak this prompt a bit because i haven't updated my lj in a few days and would like to kill 2 birds with one stone by writing the top 10 things that made me happy in the last 5 days. here goes nothing of meaning to you:

The Top 10 Things That Have Given Me a Moment of Joy in the Past 5 Days & Let's Start from the Beginning...
(Note: Most of what's below has to do with Cait from Smithtown, Long Island, New York,
U.S.A. because she came to visit me)
1. getting tipsy off of homemade and super chunky (it was my first time making them but now i think i'm pro) peach bellinis with cait while writing nate ridiculous messages on his f.b. wall.
2. screaming kelly clarkson lyrics with a club full of latin gay guys (it was español night at RAGE in boy's town, west hollywood), puya, hillary, charles and cait and getting a kiss after i giving a whole buck to one of the club's pro dancers, who and you can't leave this out, was wearing a black speedo and lots of caution tape
3. Going to disneyland with cait and my friends who are huge fans of flaunting their coupleness... and laughing hysterically with Cait 1. after I stealthily snuck past three line attendents and into Space Mountain and 2. as we got buckled into a space ship ride (for 4+ yr. olds) by a ride attendant because we were already laughing so hard that i had become paralyed and couldn't buckle myself in.
4. Rollerblading on venice beach and pushing aside hoards of tourists, hare krishnas, rastafarians, and muscle beach competitiors. the water speckled and was gorgeous, the weather was LA perfect at 73 and the breeze was so nice as it kissed our "glistening" forms.
5. Cait burps really loudly and like all the time. But best was on the Santa Monica Pier when we were resting our pulsating calves and an old asian man walked nearly past and started cracking up and asking her about her talents. classy. jah.
6. We woke up at the ass crack-of-dawn to get down to The House of Blues on the strip (Sunset) for Gospel Brunch with the fam. We ate feasts fit for southern war heroes (my dad's plate was piled mountainously high. like woah) and gasped when the lead singer of the gospel band was revealed- she wore the most ridiculous, frilly, bell sleeved (nearly to the floor) white wedding type dress and a large fancy hat. i want one.
7. We had In-n-Out twice. I haven't had this in so long and forgot how amazing it is even when i forgo the meat patty. you really haven't had a good cheeseburger, or at least not a "fast food" type, until you get one from here. and request it with carmalized onions and "animal style."
8. Last night and once again, I was being obnoxious and facebooking randoms to become Cait Smith's friends. I would find the people most opposite her and request their friendship. She took it "like a champ" and we just laughed and laughed until she almost peed and we were both crying. (note to self: when peoplle fly across the country to see you, don't spend inordinate amounts of time on the computer.)
9. I recieved roses in the mail today. no, they weren't from a lover but from th best homey ever, Cait. I was walking downstairs in a towel and my wet hair that was sticking to my face when I passed the front door, glanced out the round, etched window and saw one large package staring me in the face with the words Hallmark® Flowers on it. Of course i hoped that they had been sent to me by some long lost and distant lover, wanting to make ammends, but I knew who they were from the second I saw them. And they were beautiful.

10. Getting random bursts of enthusiastic generosity from my mom; we're going to the Greek Theatre tomorrow to see Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott and Floetry. Though i know a few songs by each artist I don't own any of their c.d.'s so I feel a bit guilty and not qualified to take a prized seat from a more devoted fan but I'm going and it should be most excellent. and just the way my mom announced that we were going was the cutest thing ever. that was probably the best part.
