It's all over but the stomach-ache

Sadly, Halloween weekend is no more, but it was a blast while it lasted. I didn't redline it quite as hard as my roomie did on Friday night at the hippie jam-band house party she went to, but you can't party like a rockstar EVERY day. I went with Orly and her friend to an 80's-themed dance costume type event at The Fez. These two crazies dressed as Hall & Oates were in the final running with a guy dressed as Bowie from the Aladdin Sane era. They had a dance-off to settle it, and let me tell you, the acid-washed jeans and gray Members Only jacket of the dynamic duo couldn't be beat: Darryl and John took the prize with their leap-frogging antics. Meanwhile, I was dressed as either Torro (the bull-headed brother of Zorro, bitch!), a naughty Amish boy, or "that guy from 'Children of the Corn'" depending on who you spoke to (I told all of them they were right). I also kissed a speaker at some point, and listened to a couple of cute girls named Jill and Amanda (I know, I had it backwards!), while Orly made out with some guy on the dance floor. Good times all 'round!

Thres and I finally got around to the pumpkin carving action on Saturday night, even though neither of us was in the state to be handling sharp knives -- it's amazing what seems like fun when you're drigh. So they went out on our front porch railing with candles in them, and they served as little evil lighthouses, luring frightfully dressed children to our house for trick-or-treating last night. Of course, the first pair were two kids who were a bit old for the game, and they weren't even wearing a costume. Weak!

I closed out the "weekend" by dragging Thres to the Crystal Ballroom, where we met up with Orly and Kezzia again. We got some dancing in early on, and then they had a strange singer who did a sort of goth-opera solo piece, followed by a belly-dancing troupe. And just when the dancing started up again, and I was tease-dancing with a cutie dressed up as a hyena, Thres dragged me out of there! Something about work in the morning. Oy...
