There’s a Hole in my Heart in the Shape of You

Jayne was fuming. What had that hun dan ever done to deserve Maggie’s love and forgiveness? He never thought it would hurt as much as it did to see them together, to hear her forgive Tom and see her kiss him. She hadn’t even forgiven Jayne yet for beating up Tom.

His heart sank as he realised that he had lost her, and he buried his face in his hands.

A soft hand stroke his cheek and a sweet voice whispered, “I forgive you.”

He lifted his head up. “Keep your eyes closed,” she whispered, tying a blindfold across his eyes.

She led him along the corridor and into a bunk. When the blindfold was taken off they were in darkness.

“Don’t turn on the lights,” she whispered, pressing soft kisses along his jaw.

Jayne pulled her close and kissed her tenderly. “Dui bu qi.”

“I do, Jayne.”

She pulled his t-shirt off and ran her hands across the muscles of his chest and stomach.

Jayne eased her out of her top and his stomach dropped as he realised….

He turned on the light. “River!”

She stood there naked, apart from a tiny pair of sexy black lace panties. Walking over to him she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed eager kisses to his unresponsive lips.

Jayne groaned as his John Thomas responded to this xiu li young girl in his arms.

River pulled back angrily. “Not xiu li but mei li. Not girl but woman. Not crazy but in love.”

“Well, I’m not in love with you,” he responded roughly.

River’s eyes filled with tears. “But he must be. Jayne said.”

“I said a lotta dumb things in ma life,” he explained, handing her his t-shirt to put on “Now cover yerself up. Ya ain’t no biao zi. I meant what I said ta ya then, but now I love Maggie.”

River slipped his t-shirt on, breathing in his scent all around her. “But she won’t forgive you. She hates you for hurting Tom.”

“Well, I’m gonna do ev’rything I can ta change her mind.”

“I forgive you. I love you,” she insisted, wrapping her arms around his neck.

“River girl,” he pulled back, gently disentangling her arms from around his neck, “I wish I felt the same way. But I’m an old man. Ya best forget about me an’ look fer some core-bred young man ta sweep ya offa ya feet.”

“But I want you,” she sobbed.

“Well, shi yu yuan wei,” he said, stroking her cheek. “Now get some more clothes on before someone catches ya down here.”

“But you’re in my bunk,” she whispered.

“What?”

Simon banged on River’s bunk door. “River, can I come in?”

“No, Simon,” replied River.

“Why not? I’m coming in… What the?”

“I changed the combination, Simon.”

“Let me in, River.”

“No.”

“Brat.”

“Tyrant.”

The door opened, and Simon was shocked to find Jayne coming out.

“If you’ve hurt my mei-mei in any way.”

“What’cha gonna do about it?” Jayne was right in Simon’s face.

Simon held up to fists in a classic boxing pose. Jayne just laughed.

“Ya mei-mei just tried ta seduce me. As soon as I knew it was her, I stopped it right there and then.”

“How could you not know?”

“She had me blindfolded, and had the lights off.”

“So you realised?”

“When I touched her, yeah. But I didn’t enjoy it, I swear.”

River came out of her bunk dressed only in one of his t-shirts. “His body responded in the expected manner.”

“Jayne?”

“I didn’t do nothin’,” he growled, “I’m going to ma bunk.”

When Maggie woke, Jayne was snuggling up behind her in his bed.

“Hey,” she smiled, leaning back into him.

“Hey, Maggie girl. Ni hao? How are ya doin’?”

“Umm, fine now,” she turned and sleepily snuggled into his chest. He was only wearing boxers. “I just came to tell you that Tom is okay.”

Jayne sighed as he stroked her hair, “Do we have to talk about him now?”

“Jayne, he told me he’s sorry for treating me so badly, and that he wants me to choose, you or him. He says he’s letting me go, if I want to.”

Jayne rang his fingers under her chin and lifted her face to his. “What have you decided?”

She smiled, “I forgive you, bao-bei.”

Jayne enfolded her in a great big bear hug, grinning from ear to ear. “Darlin’,” he whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.

Tears began falling from her eyes.

“Hey, what all this?” he whispered, brushing them away with his fingers.

“They’re good tears. We just had our first make up after an argument.”

“We’d better have some of that great make up sex I’ve heard talk of then,” Jayne teased.

“What’s that phrase in Mandarin about all in good time?”

“Jiu er jiu zhi,” Jayne told her.

“Jiu er jiu zhi,” she repeated.

“Ya learnin’ fast, Maggie girl,” he grinned.

“I choose you, my swai man,” she whispered, stroking his cheek.

He smirked, “You’ve been learnin’ more Mandarin. Who did ya learn that from?”

“Kaylee.”

“I shoulda guessed. That girl’s got sexin’ on the brain.”

“And you haven’t?”

“I ain’t never said that,” he grinned, “now how about losin’ some of them clothes?”

Maggie woke up from the most refreshing night’s sleep she’d had in a long time. Warm and comfortable she stretched and snuggled back down for forty more winks.

“Mornin’ sleepyhead.”

A slow smile spread across her face, “Jayne,” she purred.

“That’s ma name,” he said, kissing the top of her head. He wrapped his arms tight around her and sighed deeply.

“Jayne?”

“Uh huh?”

“What time is it?”

“Uh, 5.30. Why?”

“What time does the rest of the crew get up?”

“Breakfast is at 7. The crew usually get up between 6 and 7.”

Maggie groaned and began to get out of bed. “That’s what I was afraid of.”

“Hey, where d’ya think yer goin’?” Jaynee grabbed her hand and pulled her back into bed.

“Back to my bunk.”

“No ruttin’ way!” He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her, stopping her from leaving.

“You want me ta stay?” she sighed.

“Uh huh. What can I do ta persuade ya?”

“Well, I can think of one way ya can stay with me a little longer,” Maggie pressed a soft kiss on his lips.

“What is it?” he growled.

“Come and take a shower with me,” she smiled and ran across his bunk.

“Yes ma’am!” Jayne mock saluted her, as a sexy crooked grin spread across his face. Ai ya, he loved it when his woman took control. It was so gorram sexy.
