“Husband, what did you say they were doing?”

“Kissing, on the lips,” explained Wash. “Never would’ve believed it, if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.”

“Right here in the galley?”

“Uh huh,” he grinned, “Over by the sink.”

Just then Kaylee and Jayne walked in. The tension in the room was palpable.

Kaylee moved over to the counter as Jayne got something out of his locker.

“Ya want some coffee?” she asked.

“Please,” he nodded.

“He said please?!” Wash mouthed to Zoe, trying to suppress a laugh, without much success.

“Ya got a problem, lil Man?” Jayne scowled.
