“Only kissin’,” Mal exploded, “An’ what did I tell ya about shipboard romances and airlocks, Jayne?” stepping right into the big man’s face.
“Ya’d space me outta one if’n I so much as looked at Kaylee,” he muttered.
“D’ya think I oughta space ya now?”
“Cap’n, no!” Kaylee cried, placing herself between Jayne and Mal. “Ain’t his fault. Was me that kissed him. If anyone should be spaced, should be me.”
“Lil Kaylee, ya playin’ with fire,” Mal warned.
“Ain’t a lil girl no more, Cap’n, an’ this is what I choose.”
