Guardian last week had a big interview w/Caitlin Moran and a review of her new book, How To Build A Girl plus a big piece on Crash by J.G. Ballard (which is being reissued). They also had a little bit about Ivor Novello and Noel Coward getting involved with fascism in the 1920s.
Managed to get a copy of Pearl Lowe's book, Pearl Lowe's Vintage Craft. In it she talks about her style/how to style various rooms + also has loads of DIY projects for upcycling furniture + stuff to get a vintage look plus it has quite a big section at the back listing various websites if you're looking for suppliers etc. I really love her style, I love her mix of shabby chic/Art Deco or whatever you want to call it.
Went to TKK Maxx + managed to get some more Philosophy at reduced prices, this time the Cupcake shower gel/bath foam. They also had some Patisserie De Bain stuff in so I got some body lotion in Strawberry and one in Raspberry + Roses. You can get some really good stuff in TK Maxx but it's so hit + miss as to whether they'll have anything decent when you visit.
Pleased to see that Smyths are listing the new Operetta and Skelita dolls from Monster High available from the end of August so I'm guessing the new Ever After High dolls will be available around then as well. (I know the Ever After High website I ordered from before is already showing the Hat-tastic dolls but I want to wait till they're available in a few more places so I can compare prices).
