I also got the new issue of Mojo which was OK. It had a couple of good interviews with Yoko Ono and Brian Johnson (of AC/DC, lovely Geordie man) plus an article with photos from the grunge era (it seems like nostalgia comes round a lot quicker now as there's been several books released detailing the grunge era but then I suppose when you think about it, it's now over 15 years ago --- scary!)
They also had a bit on how Diana Ross had wanted to play Josephine Baker in a film of her life. I still wish I could have got one of those Josephine Baker dolls.
And they had reviews of Telstar (it's just come out on DVD) and Peter Hook's book on The Hacienda etc. which sounds like it might be worth a read.
Tyneside Cinema are doing a John Hughes tribute and they're actually doing a breakfast showing of The Breakfast Club (although I'm away this weekend otherwise I would probably have gone). I always wished they'd done a sequel and the Judd Nelson character comes back and it turns out he's this Axl Rose-like rock star and he ends up with the Ally Sheedy weird girl --- which is how the bloody movie should have ended!
