A New Nature
I pray that as you read this, the Holy Spirit will impart to you the insight He has given me.
When you were born into this earth, you took on the nature of our parents, their human characteristics. Because sin was prevalent in that human nature, it was in your nature to sin, to be disobedient.
When the Son of God came to earth, He took on flesh and was tempted just as we are, but was without sin. He demonstrated what a man in perfect union, in perfect relationship with the Father, looks like. He demonstrated another nature altogether, a divine nature.
And when Jesus sacrificed His perfect, sinless life for you and I, He not only secured forgiveness from the Father for us, but He was given the right to grant this new nature to whoever would believe on Him. The Word says that when you made Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour, you became a new creation. A new creature that did not exist before that moment.
The very nature of the spotless, sinless Son of God became your nature. You are a partaker of His divine nature. You are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus. You are a son of God. You are predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus. It is in your nature to be holy, to walk in love, to walk righteously before HIm and before all men. The Word says, "as He is, so are we in this world". Dare to believe Him. Dare to believe all that God has made you in Christ Jesus. Dare to believe that the Spirit of His Son, the Holy Spirit, will show in you the same life He showed in Jesus. Dare to believe that others will see Jesus in you the way others saw the Father in Jesus.
