The Mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 1 & 2 is one of my favourite passages of Scripture. I have learned many lessons from these two chapters. Here is one of them:
The Bible says that if the rulers of this age had known what would happen when they crucified Jesus, they wouldn't have done it. The devil scheme was to trap the Lord into a situation where He would be crucified, and it worked. But what the devil didn't know was that he was playing right into the plan of the Lord. The Lord's wisdom is expressed in the redemption that Jesus bought for us.
The Bible then goes on to say that He has given us this wisdom, and that we have the mind of Christ. In other words, the very wisdom, the very mind that planned our salvation is now revealed to us through the Holy Spirit.
Furthermore, In Ephesians, the Bible states that it is God's purpose that his manifold wisdom be expressed to the ruler and authorities in heavenly realms. In other words, it's His plan that we express His wisdom by walking in out salvation.
The revelation to me is this:
The devil has plans and strategies to keep the Church and the world in bondage through lies. But no matter what the devil's strategy is, we have the wisdom of God, the mind of Christ, revealed to us through the Holy Spirit, to destroy and foil the enemy's plans by walking out the redemption that Jesus bought for us.
When the wisdom of God is revealed to you, you can see right through the devil's smoke screen, you can see how he has already been defeated by Jesus, how Jesus has made you a victor and the great inheritance that is yours in Him.
