Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Stephanie and I did a lot of talking, and I think at the end of it, we kind of fell in love with each other again. We've both learned a little bit more of what we have to do to trust each other better. The tension had been building, and all week it's been affecting me physically. It'd been affecting Stephie too, but that's not all!
Saturday morning, I woke up to find out that she hadn't slept at all that night due to pain, and that there was blood in her urine. I started panicking as she ended up doubled up on the couch, crying. She hates doctors, by the way--earlier in the week, she was talking about trying to get to see her doctor in St. Louis, but now she was sobbing about not being able to afford a visit to the clinic. After chatting with Mom a bit, I decided I couldn't just leave her to her own devices, and I drove her to the emergency room, where sure enough, she had a "bad kidney infection"--with antibiotics, she should feel better in about three days, but without, she could have gotten REALLY sick pretty soon. So I'm really glad I was able to help her with that and hold her hand in the emergency room.
Afterwards, we came back to the apartment to relax the rest of the day. So far this weekend, we've finished The Adventures of Cookie and Cream, and we finished the sixth DVD of ROD the TV, and finally started watching Naruto. She's eating it up. Apparently she used to watch Dragonball religiously? And she kept telling me that she isn't into anime. :D (those of you who say Dragonball fans aren't anime fans can stuff it. I'm still working on her, okay?)
Geez, you guys like talking about my hair. I'm thinking I might cut it down to "medium" length before the end of the summer, about mid-neck. Back to watching more Naruto before bedtime.
