HA - I actually said on numerous occassions in the past few weeks.. "You can take the girl outta the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the girl"
I use "hot mess" to describe places and things too. For example, the other day, I walked into the back room and said, "Damn, it's a hot mess and a half back here."
Exactly! I love that phrase! I called someone a hot mess yesterday...they spent the majority of the day thinking it meant that, indeed, they were a mess but were hot. Once that little clarification was made, I about pissed myself laughing!
Ha! I can so picture you two playing egg toss into the garbage disposal.
Chips and wine? Seriously? **shaking head**
Were they at least Organic or "High End" gourmet types of chips? Cause that could make a difference. Organic "seem" to automatically make things classier for some reason. I don't know why and I don't make the rules... but it does seem to matter to some folks.
And as far as being a "hot mess"... I have nothing to say about it. Pffffffffft.
I wasn't actually eating the chips while having wine! I had the chips first...bar-b-que.. by Wachusett. They were still on the table in front of me by the time I had the wine... Not quite ghetto fab, but it'll do!
