I suspect that after completing one round of chemo before, you're subconsciously (as well as consciously) more aware of what your boundaries are and aren't, so you're more able to pace yourself better. I noticed this phenomenon with DS and his Remicade treatments. Over the years he's gone from being totally incapacitated after the infusion to being able to manage going to and from on his own.
Not that Remicade is the same sort of thing, mind you. It's a fraction of what you've gone through...but there is still a definite learning curve involved in managing these health issues.
