Its been a while
Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Its been a while since I've posted. I'll try to post on a regular basis now just so I can look back and see what's happened since my memory appears to be fading. When I talk to people, they remember so much detail about their childhood while here I am, barely remembering anything. Its not that I have no recollection of my childhood at all but okay, here's a for instance. Say I'd be talking to Cal and he would bring up something that happened in our childhood and I couldn't remember a single thing about that moment in time. I think I hit my head one too many times when I was a kid or maybe went through too many surgeries.
This past weekend, my coworker called me and said another coworker of ours just got a call from his contracting agency telling him that he's done at Sanofi-Aventis. I then begin to worry...well...I wasn't worrying a whole lot just because I knew that my "standings" so to speak as far as the techs were concerned was up there. In other words, I am one of the top technicians in our group so I guess I was being a little cocky. On another note, I thought maybe something good was to come out of this...like maybe getting hired as an employee. Only time will tell. The next day, I got a call from the same coworker and he told me that he was gone too. A few hours later, I get an email from my manager on my blackberry stating that we lost 5 people over the weekend, one person which was a shock simply because he's been there just about as long as I had and he finally got to the point where he was reliable. When I say reliable, I just mean that he stopped calling me for answers or solutions to his problems. So I saw my manager at work yesterday and she assured me that my job wasn't in jeopardy. Our department simply didn't have enough in the budget to keep all of these people until they got approved to hire more temp contractors for the XP rollout.
I've been meaning to start my road to dieselness. I want to be fit for the wedding but I've been sick since New Years. I've still got a cough but its dissipating slowly. I forgot what it feels like to be "normal", whatever normal means. I've also been procrastinating alot with studying for the CCNA. Someone kick my ass and get myself in gear. I know...its all up to me.
Oh, if anyone wants to buy a laptop, I'm selling one. Let me know because I'll probably put it up on ebay next week or something.
