(no subject)
So, my new room at school is wonderful. Wonderfully ridiculously hot, but besides St. Olaf's lack of air conditioning my room is everything I hoped for. Much more spacious (living with one person > living with two people) and we have it set up pretty well already. Especially once we finish decorating and putting posters and things up, it will be splendid. And as it turns out, my room last year was the room that Luke Warren lived in his sophomore year. Coincidence. And, although only Hallie will really benefit from this, my room this year is Melissa Roberts' old room. Coincidence again!
On the downside, I've become idiotic and I've lost both my room key and the gift certificate for $100 to the St. Olaf bookstore that I had. The gift card should turn up I'm hoping, but I may just have to pay the replacement fee to get a new key. Goddamn.
I went and looked at all the books that my classes are using, and I realized that for my class called "The Biblical God," the Bible is not among the listed reading. Maybe this only strikes me as odd, but really, it's called the Biblical God...
I audition for the smaller orchestra later today. I feel kind of weird about it, I dunno why. Maybe because I haven't actually played the violin for the last two years? I also think I'm going to audition for the musical later this week as well. We're doing "Blood Brothers." The music is kind of terrible, as is the show from what I've seen and heard, so if I get in I'm just going to pretend like we're doing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Because that is so much more exciting.
And....I'm done.
