Summary: Harry and Draco are stuck at Hogwarts for Christmas. Things, as expected, get interesting. Harry and Draco are in their 6th year. This fic is for fun!
Note: There's lots of fluff, because I love fluff, especially at Christmas time. Let me know what you think!!
"What do you mean you're not coming with us?" shrieked Hermoine, fixing her eyes on Harry.
"Yeah mate, when Ginny told us you guys were over and she didn't want you to come to Greece this Christmas, I figured you'd sort things out and we'd all still be able to go?" Ron looked hopefully at Harry, but the green eyed boy shook his head.
"I don't think so, Ron. Gin was pretty annoyed about it all." Harry hesitated before asking the question that'd had been racing through his mind ever since Ginny had slapped him.
"Did... Did Ginny tell you why we broke up?"
Hermoine studied Harry curiously while Ron jumped in.
"Yeah, she just said she was sick of you acting like a jerk, that it was all your fault, and that you're a prick, basically."
Harry breathed a silent sigh of relief.
"So, naturally, we wanted to hear your side of the story, as honestly, that doesn't sound like you at all, Harry," said Hermoine, still observing him with interest. "So..." she prompted.
"She's right, it was my fault, I..." Harry sighed dramatically, feigning disappointment with himself. " I just wasn't paying her enough attention." Harry glanced at his friends, before continuing. Ron looked sympathetic, Hermoine, unsure, possibly suspicious.
"She's right to look elsewhere. I asked her for another chance, but she said no, and I accept that. And out of my respect for her wishes, I agreed that I would let her be this Christmas, and give her the time and space she needs."
"I still don't see why you can't come, mate." said Ron. Hermoine punched the gangly red-head in the arm, apparently convinced by Harry's show of emotion.
"You idiot, Harry's just thinking of Ginny's feelings. I still doubt you treated her wrong, Harry, but if you say so..."
"I don't think me and Ginny were right for each other, anyway, Hermoine; maybe this is all for the best." Harry realised he may be getting over Ginny a little too quickly and moved to change the subject.
"It'll be nice and quiet here over the Christmas break. I hear there are no 6th year Gryffindors staying behind."
"Actually, Harry," said Hermoine, "I heard there's only one other 6th year staying at the castle these holidays."
"Oh, who?"
"Malfoy," Ron grunted, uncaringly. "Couldn't ask for worse company, eh, Harry?"
But Harry hadn't heard Ron. Harry was in shock.
