So I just got back from another Kentucky visit (since I haven't mentioned these trips in a while, I note that my brother, sister, and their spouses and one son each are up there. My brother's son is about 2 in a half years old, while my sister's is only 2.

And yes, my sister's son is going through the "terrible twos" right now- just started two weeks ago)

It was a long trip to tell the truth- I had to watch my year old niece the whole seven hours both ways.

I had to do that once before.... but the nice men in the white suits told me it isn't a good idea for me to talk about it.

Lets just say she gets... hysterical... after a while.

*shutters, while eye twitches*

ANYWAYS... I had a very interesting time up there. I probably gave 30-50 horsy back rides total to my nephews. They love those horse rides...
too much...
The occasion for this visit was the birth of my new niece (my brother's daughter). I COULDN'T GET OVER HOW SMALL SHE WAS! She already has a full head of hair, and a healthy "tan" look to go along with it.
Her brother is just the cutiest little gentlemen right now- here's an example of it-
When his mother was talking to him about Aria, she said- "Isn't she pretty"
He says- "No, she's beautiful"

Like I said, my sister's son is going through them terrible twos right now. I think he had to sit in the corner about 20 times while I was there, mostly for shoving and hitting.
But he'll pull out of it, knowing that little guy. He is a sweetheart... when he wants to be.

So I'm home now, with a bunch of gifts- a book and suitcase kit for graduation, an aloe vera plant for my birthday, and a lemon balm plant... just because.

I'd say it was a good trip.
The unpacking and readjusting, though, is a different story... that niece of mine is still a grump from yesterday!
(oh, before I forget to explain, I got the laptop as a graduation/birthday gift)
