Writing for a cure!
Hi all!
I'm here to ask all of you for your help. I'm walking with a dear friend in this year's Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk for A Cure. And I'm looking for help raising money for the cause.
Bonus incentive first: donors will receive fic in exchange for their gracious efforts. 100 words for every US dollar!
So here's the deal: We ALL know someone with diabetes (either type). A family member, friend, someone we care about. We all know that it has a great impact on those it effects. Multiple painful daily finger sticks to check blood sugar levels, insulin shots a few times a day to prevent dangerous blood sugar level side effects, special diets, multiple doctors, planning ahead for everything and always having to have a plan in case of emergencies, multiple organ/body problems (including but not limited to: amputations, seizures, vision problems, digestive problems, skin sores, etc). It's something that they can't get away from and always have to have in the back of their minds.
I could go on and on about why this is important and why people with diabetes need support from all around the world. But that's not what this is about right now. Right now, I'm interested in helping end the battle with diabetes for everyone, and that means research and funding.
Every dollar counts! And I'll make your dollars worth it for you with fic writing in exchange. 100 words for every $1 US. I'm not asking much here, so let's fight to end this battle with diabetes!!!
