Have just seen on the local news a plan for us to have our own equivalent of the Angel of the North near the Channel Tunnel Rail Terminal at Ebbsfleet. I wonder how many accidents that will cause on the A2 as motorists slow down to gawp.
And while I'm talking about that area, I meant to mention in the previous post that I heard more about the excavations at the A2. The media attention of course was all on the Roman finds, but it seems some Anglo Saxon stuff has also been found which looks as if it will add significantly to knowledge of Kent in the 5th century.
