London

I've just got back from a wonderful few days in London. As always it's been a mix of sight seeing, museums and theatres.

I saw 'Wicked!', which is the untold story of the witches of Oz. (It's fanfic!) It was very, very good and I loved it, but it's still fanfic and should be recognised and celebrated as that.

I went to Oxford and discovered a museum to the History of Science which was amazing, and went to the Bodleian Library Shop (what a wonderful combination of words!) and bought Tolkien-y goodies there.

I went up the Shard:

and had fantastic views across London,

And saw this wonderful T shirt at Covent Garden:

After awhile I grew tired of the crowds and the traffic and the busy streets, so headed for a couple of the parks in central London which I thought would be a peaceful oasis, only to realise that I was right outside Buckingham Palace, and it was the changing of the guard! It was very, very busy, and packed with people. I took a few touristy photos, and then escaped.

I also took a trip down river to Greenwich, saw the Cutty Sark

and went to the Planetarium, and generally had a great time!
