last weekend at home
it looks like papers will finally be done with this week and kris and i will be moving SOMETIME this week. it'll be nice to have a sense of independence again, although living here hasn't been as bad as it was last time.
i'm excited about work this week. i'm finally getting my stuff all together (and i have a TON of stuff to do tonight and early tomorrow morning), BUT...i'm excited nonetheless. i'm waiting for the creative apple to open up at noon and then i'll be off to school to start doing more posters and the windows.
anyway, thanks for the support from last week. it was really rough. i had a ton of thoughts and emotions running through me. but thanks to my friends, especially cara, i knew that i was loved and that i should not have to change anything about myself.
who cares what certain people think? they'll have to answer to their own superiors. and i mean that literally.
i had a coffee date with charles (my old VP) who is now the principal at another school and it was great. he is a wonderful and smart man who always knows how to be comforting yet put things in a honest perspective at the same time. he is one of my heroes. his wife is off to china to be a speaker at some international conference! how cool is that?
he heard about my own admin's comment and spoke to the superintendent of schools already. he was upset and so is she. hopefully mr. sensitive is going to getting a talking to.
i wish he was still at our school, but i have faith in bob and lynn. it'll just take time. i have faith in cara and our department. i have faith in linda and tracey, and todd and gloria, and sia, and all the other teachers that stood up for me.
i have the flyer of dean's memorial service hanging up right by my keys in my room. i look at it each day. this morning i asked him if he was happy with my work and i got a "hell yes" and i heard him with his sneaky giggle.
