Crap and stuff

I got a little ambitious last night…

If any of you are familiar with the radio show “The Shebang” on Triple M, then you would be familiar with Fifi Box, one of the show’s presenters. A few weeks ago while discussing geeky and nerdy activities, I understand the Miss Box commented that she would be interested in trying out medieval reenactment.

The week after this was said on radio, heapha suggested that I contact the station and invite Fifi to join us at the new SinCity Fantasy game. I laughed it off at the time, but last night I just decided… “fuck it”.

So I put together a two A4 page intro and explanation about the game and sent it through to The Shebang. I figure one of three things will happen:

1. (The most likely) - nothing will happen, I will get no reply, and I’ve lost nothing other then the time it took to write the email (and crap on about it on LJ).

2. Fifi will be interested in the game and will contact me back, in which case we may end up getting a new player (always a good thing).

3. The email (or parts of it as it is long) will get read on air effectively giving the game a bit of free advertising… something I’m never going to complain about.

In any case, I just figured nothing ventured nothing gained.

I’ve got my tabletop D&D game on this weekend but after that I can start concentrating on the LARP game coming up on the 17th of September. The camping game is pretty heavy in my mind at the moment as there’s just so much I can think of doing, but I really need to start concentrating on the three games leading up to that one. No point in planning a big game if the chronicle never even gets to it.

In other news I was round at boots262’s house last night creating a character for his Red Star game. The good news is that I was able to pick up a copy of Volume 1 of the comic yesterday so I started reading it last night after I got back (and after an hour of Warcraft). It’s an interesting setting and the comic itself is visually very impressive, if a little slow paced. Perhaps having spent nearly $30,000 on comics in a four year period has left me a little cynical about some comics.

I’m still waiting for the money from my wrecked car to clear in to my account at the moment. It’s there, but not as cleared funds. I doubt though that the money from NRMA will bounce. I spend about $400 on clothes for Pam at Gallery Serpentine a couple of weeks ago and I could use the two odd grand coming through for the car.

Anyhu, I’ve rambled enough. I'm going back to work. I now return you to your regular viewing.
