BSG Finale Thoughts....
I'll put them under a cut...
RDM is a genius. I'm still processing everything. This finale had it all-ship battles, awesome effects, GREAT acting, and coming full circle. There were answers to series long question: Head!Six and Head!Baltar. The Opera House. Hera and her exact meaning. Kara and who or what is she.
One of my favorite scenes was between Laura and Cottle saying goodbye. I'll admit that that scene started the tears for me. The scene between Laura and Bill at the end in the raptor with him putting his ring on her finger after she passed away ripped my heart out. I loved the whole native ending and them putting down their old ways and starting new, reborn in a sense. And Kara, to finally see her at peace at the end-very touching.
If there are no Emmy nominations for this finale alone it will be inexplicable. The finale even felt way longer than the 2 hour and 11 minute length. And when I digest it all and most likely watch it again, it will seem even more fantastic than it is right now.
I will miss being able to watch the brilliance of a new episode Friday nights. To BSG, one of the best frakking shows I have had the pleasure to have experienced.
