I Can't Sleep

Yeah, I'm tired. I can't sleep. I feel like I want to talk about something but I don't want this to turn into a whiny journal. I will try and talk about something that upsets me until I go to sleep. I hate the radio. I heard Evanesence's "Immortral" three times before noon this morning. It makes me sick how radio stations and music video stations cram music down listeners throats and then get mad when they go to outside sources for music. If I ever make music, I am going to give it all away for free. Free. I will support myself by touring and giving out CDs. If fans want to support me, that is awesome, but I will never force anybody to listen to my music. However, I might ask them to sit down and listen to it so they can give me an opinion. It just makes me sick. I never want to write music for money. I never want to have a false image attached to my music. I want to cross as many musical barriers as possible. I want to be able to fingerpick on a classical with a hip hop beat in the background while Qortra is playing creepy synth sounds in the background. I never want fans to idolize me. I want them to hear the music. I want them to like it. But I can't talk about this without mentioning music fans. Fans make music disposable. For most listeners, if an album is over a couple years old it is not as good. Either the style of the music has passed or they are too caught up in TRL to even care about timeless music. Whose fault is it that music sucks? It is the artists that produce crappy music to get rich or sell out to record companies? Is it these artists who hang onto trends produced by original artists that make music suck? Music is so stagnant. It's sad when I enjoy bands like Maroon 5 because it is a breath of fresh air from the crap I have to listen to every day. I want to change music. I want to start a music revolution. I haven't thought how, but I want to do it. All of this typing made me tired. Let me know if you want to start a revolution with me. I'm not talking Rage Against the Machine Style either. Or hippie style, or even Nirvana style. Kurt Cobain was so angry at the baby boomers because they started something and didn't finish it. If I start a revolution, I want to finish it. If that is even possible. If not, I will do the best I can. I am rambling, so I am going to go to bed. Simeon forever!!!
