been too gone for too long...
As I was brewing my coffee this morning, I had a strong urge to sign onto Livejournal. Don't ask me why...
When I got here I was astonished at all the changes. I was afraid my online journal would be gone. It was still here....waiting for me as a loyal black lab. Sadly, I discovered some of my old friends had moved on without me...deleting me for lack of updating. I certainly do understand the reasons. I wanted to catch up on missed time.
I've been sortof working as a licensed manicurist. I have discovered I HATE it! I would rather be here at home playing with my beautiful Quincy...making quilts...recording history in scrapbooks....anything butshaping, buffing and polishing fingernails or toenails.
I have tried two new artforms recently. I took a six week pottery class and LOVED it. I made two bowls on the wheel, a slab mug and a lidless canister. The isntructors are offering a raku class in two weeks and thanks to a generous annonymous donor, I can attend that class free to me! Thank you, whoever you are!
I have also picked up a wonderful book on quilting. I made several rag quilts last year form chritsmas gifts to my family and loved it! But now I am making vintage quilts and absolutely ADORE them...I love the whole process. I love quilts. I just can't seem to get enough of them!
I promise to post more regularly. I love this site and have missed it a bunch. I look forward to catching up with my old LJ friends......
