NaNoWriMo 2008 was a bust
So, yeah, I pretty much failed at my first attempt at NaNoWriMo. But, I am reminding myself that I had two huge handicaps: 1- an infant son, and 2- moving during the first two weeks of November. As a result, I kind of gave up and achieved a grand total of 2.5 pages.
I've decided to give myself another chance. I really wanted to do NaNoWriMo in order to get myself into the habit of writing every day. So I'm going to tackle the challenge during the month of December. I have to give up my afternoon naps with the baby because they make me sleep poorly at night. During his afternoon naps, I will now write. Perhaps at the end of the month I will have a first draft of a novel, perhaps I will have completed several shorter pieces. The important thing is that I want to write everyday. Hopefully for NaNoWriMo 2009 I'll be in a much better position to succeed.
